About the Firm

Messrs Raul Lee Bhaskaran has been serving the Kuala Lumpur area since 2020, practicing in all areas of criminal, commercial, and general civil litigation.

We provide tailored and highly customized legal solutions to corporations, small-businesses and individuals.

The firm also plays an active role in public interest litigation, and has represented the families of victims of unlawful shootings, deaths in custody, and state-enforced disappearances.

Raul Lee Bhaskaran

Prior to practising law, Raul was an external auditor and consultant in a multinational financial services provider, specializing in systems and network security and controls. Raul's practice currently revolves primarily around criminal and commercial litigation. However, he also acts in various matters of public interest, including representing the families of victims of unlawful shootings by the police, deaths in custody, police brutality, and state-enforced disappearances. He has also represented various activists and politicians at all levels of the Malaysian Courts, and has actively been involved in efforts to abolish the death penalty, for the reform of existing drug laws, to promote freedom of speech, and in various other civil society efforts to uphold fundamental rights and freedoms. Raul sits on the Criminal Law Sub-committee of the Malaysian Bar and has been a member of the same for the past two terms. He also currently sits on the Criminal Law Sub-committee and Technology Sub-committee of the Kuala Lumpur Bar, and actively acts for clients of the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK).

Criminal Defence

Criminal defence and representation from the point of initial investigation to arrest, remand and bail for most offences under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, Anti Money Laundering Act, and Anti-Terrorism laws.

The firm has a growing practice in drug cases; as progressives, we are actively working with policy makers on reforms to Malaysian drug laws to bring them in line with International Human Rights standards.
